NGC 772, Arp 78, in Aries
NGC 772, part of Arp 78, in Aries is a large, unbarred
spiral galaxy. The Arp designation means it was
included in Halton Arp's Atlas of Peguliar
Galaxies (1966). Objects in Arp's atlas
include single peculiar galaxies, those
with unusual features, or, in this
case, interacting galaxies.
NGC 772 is 106 Mly from us.
